Second Hand Smoking

When I was surfing my tv this morning ( I called it surfing instead of watching since I only saw a few seconds of every channel and keep changing it), I stumbled upon a show that discussed about lung cancer.

The host of the show mentioned that lung cancer nowadays had become one of the major cause of death, and its popularity keep growing. As a non- smoker I can only said hope that smokers around the world can stop smoking before its too late for them. And another interesting thing that catched my attention was when the host said that lung cancer isn’t only prevalent on smokers, but most often it occurred on the second hand smokers.

Now, wait a minute, it seems unfair to me that a second hand smoker get lung cancer too. If a smoker get lung cancer, I can still accept it. You smoke at your own risk. However, for a second hand smoker to get a lung cancer is the same as you get arrested for something that you didn’t do.

So, for all smokers, please don’t smoke around the non smokers, especially children and pregnant women. If you want to have a cigarette, please do it in the open air. (Yes, in my country people do smoke in a closed room with no ventilation)
